Exporting Calendars
How to get export link; public vs authenticated.
Exporting your HostManageGo calendar means other platforms (e.g. Airbnb, Booking.com) can pull your reservations from HostManageGo and block those dates on their calendar. This article explains how to get the export link and the difference between public and authenticated links.
How to Get the Export Link
- Go to Settings and open Calendar Sync (or iCal / Calendars).
- Find the Export section (or the property’s calendar settings).
- Select the property you want to export.
- The app shows an export URL (iCal link). It may be labeled "Export URL", "iCal link", or "Calendar feed". Copy this URL.
You use this URL on the other platform: go to that platform’s calendar sync or import settings and paste the URL where they ask for "iCal URL" or "Import calendar". That platform will then fetch your HostManageGo reservations and block the same dates. See Merge Behavior for how direct reservations and imported events work together.
Public vs Authenticated
- Public export – Some setups offer a public export URL: anyone with the link can see the calendar (blocked and free dates). You can paste this URL into Airbnb, Booking.com, or any tool that accepts iCal. The link may be long and hard to guess, but you should treat it as sensitive: do not share it publicly. If the link is compromised, you may be able to regenerate it (see Managing Calendars).
- Authenticated export – Some setups use an authenticated URL (e.g. with a token that only your account can generate). You use it the same way (paste into the other platform), but the token proves the request comes from you. Check the app’s help for whether your export is public or authenticated and how to regenerate the link if needed.
Either way, you paste the same export URL into the other platform’s import field. They do not log into HostManageGo; they only read the calendar feed from that URL.
Per Property
Each property has its own export URL. If you have three properties, you get three URLs. Paste each URL into the correct listing on the other platform (e.g. Porto apartment’s URL into the Porto listing on Airbnb, Lisbon house’s URL into the Lisbon listing). That way each platform blocks the right dates for each property.
After Adding the URL on the Other Platform
The other platform will fetch the calendar periodically (e.g. every few hours). New reservations you create in HostManageGo will appear there after the next fetch. You do not need to do anything else in HostManageGo; just keep creating reservations as usual. See Managing Calendars for how to disable or regenerate the export link.
