Public Pages Overview
Host page vs property page and what guests see.
Public booking pages let you show your properties and let guests check availability, get a quote, and submit a booking request from a public URL (no login required for the guest). This article explains the two main types of pages and what guests see.
Host Page vs Property Page
Host Page
The host page is your main public page. It usually has:
- Your branding (name, logo, theme).
- A list of your properties that are public (not hidden). Each property may show a photo, name, short description, and a link to its property page.
- Contact or call-to-action so guests can reach you or go to a property to book.
The URL is typically something like: yoursite.com/h/your-slug (e.g. /h/vila-real-properties). You set the slug in Settings → Public Pages so the URL is easy to share.
Property Page
The property page is for one property. It usually has:
- Gallery – Photos of the property.
- Details – Name, description, capacity, bedrooms, bathrooms, amenities.
- Calendar – Available and blocked dates (often with daily or total price).
- Booking form – Check-in and check-out, number of guests, and a button to request a quote or submit a booking.
The URL is typically: yoursite.com/p/your-host-slug/property-slug (e.g. /p/vila-real-properties/casa-do-sol). Guests open this page to see the property and book.
What Guests See
- No login – Guests do not need a HostManageGo account to view the host page or property page. They only need to open the link.
- Availability – They see which dates are available and which are blocked (from your reservations and imported calendars).
- Quote – When they select dates, they see a quote: accommodation, cleaning fee, long-stay discount (if applicable), tax (if any), and total. They see "You save X" if a long-stay discount applies.
- Booking flow – They fill in their name, email, and any required fields and submit. You receive the request and can confirm or follow up. See Booking Flow and Availability and Quote.
Enabling Public Pages
Public pages are enabled in Settings → Public Pages. You can turn them on or off, set your host slug, and customize the theme (colors, logo). See Public Pages Settings and Theme Customization.
