Blocking Dates

Block or unblock dates for maintenance or personal use.

Sometimes you need to make dates unavailable without a reservation (e.g. maintenance, personal use, or repairs). Blocking dates removes them from availability so no one can book them.

How to Block Dates

  1. Go to DashboardProperties and open the Calendar for the property.
  2. Select the date or range you want to block. The UI may offer "Block date" or "Block dates" (or similar).
  3. Choose the start and end date if blocking a range.
  4. Add an optional note (e.g. "Maintenance", "Personal use") to remind yourself why the dates are blocked.
  5. Confirm. The dates appear as blocked (e.g. red or a distinct color) on the calendar and are no longer available for new reservations.

How to Unblock Dates

  1. Open the same property calendar.
  2. Click the blocked date (or the blocked range). The UI shows an option to unblock.
  3. Confirm. The dates become available again and can be booked.

Using the AI Assistant

You can also block or unblock via the AI Assistant. For example:

  • "Block property [name] from June 10 to June 15."
  • "Unblock the dates 20 to 25 July for [property name]."

The AI applies the change to the property calendar. Check the calendar to confirm.

Notes

  • Blocked dates do not create a reservation; they only mark the property as unavailable.
  • If you use calendar sync (iCal), imported bookings from other platforms also block dates. Blocking in HostManageGo is in addition to that.
  • Blocked dates are not shown as available on your public booking page, so guests cannot select them.
