Using Text
Chat input, sending, response.
You can give instructions to the AI Assistant by typing in plain language. This article explains how to use the text input and what happens when you send a message.
How to Use Text
- Open the AI Assistant (floating button or link from the Dashboard).
- Find the text input (chat box) at the bottom of the assistant panel or page.
- Type your request in one or two sentences. For example:
- "Create a 2-bedroom apartment in Porto for 4 people, 80 euros per night."
- "Create a reservation for John Smith, john@example.com, May 10 to 15, at the Porto apartment."
- "Block the Porto apartment from June 10 to June 15."
- Press Enter or click Send (or the send button).
- The AI processes your message and replies. You see either:
- A success message and a link to the created or updated item (e.g. reservation, property), or
- A follow-up question if something is missing (e.g. "Which property?" or "What is the guest email?"), or
- An error message if the action could not be done (e.g. dates already booked).
Replying to Follow-ups
If the AI asks for more information, type the answer in the same chat and send again. For example:
- AI: "Which property should I use?"
- You: "The Porto apartment."
The AI then continues and completes the action (or asks again if needed).
Response Time
Responses usually appear within a few seconds. If the request is complex or the system is busy, it may take a bit longer. Wait for the reply before sending another command; otherwise the AI may get confused.
Multiple Commands
Send one command per message for best results. If you want to create two reservations, send two messages (or create one, then the other). This keeps the conversation clear and reduces errors.
